The Online Course Design Toolbox offers accessible course resources and templates that instructors can use and modify in any existing Canvas site. This resource was created by MU Extension's Learning and Teaching Services.  

Using Materials from the Online Course Design Toolbox

The resources you will find in Online Course Design Toolbox (e.g. Syllabus and page templates) can be copied or imported into your course and modified to meet your needs. We'll show you how.  

Prerequisites

You need a basic understanding of Canvas and a course development site or sandbox.  If you are building a course you intend to teach, request a development site.  If you are just interested in learning and experimenting, request a sandbox. Be sure you have taken Canvas Quick Start or are currently enrolled.  We will not be covering the basics of Canvas here.
